Trying to figure out this scape.

Thank you Linds for that analysis.

I think you changed my mind, and I will be editing the left side of the scape. I have some more driftwood and will be adding that along with the stones to continue the theme on the right.


Now the question is do I continue the direction of the wood, or start from the left and have them clash..

Farmer's idea works for me. The problem was teh two sides - equally interesting on their own - did not relate to each other. Farmer's manipulation fixes that by bringing the rocks as subservient elements to the big and awesome piece of wood. If you still want a mountain like element, it might go where the big wood hits the substrate. Maybe.

I did make changes to the tank, check out my tank journal!

Sorry. I've been away for a few days.

I think you just have to try it and see what looks good. Just looking at it I don't think you need to add more wood, but it might work.

I think it would have to be going the opposite direction.

I must admit that seeing it planted it looks better. can you put some stem plants on the far left? I think that would be great. Maybe you could also put one of those more red plants you have on the right in that focal point on the left.
