Plant for transitional area?

What would be a good contrasting plant to transition from the blyxa japonica to the hygro siamensis? The java fem will have to go.

Elatine triandra or staurogyne perhaps? A dense stand of e. vesuvius?

HG (flow, inhabitants) and bacopa australis (parameters) won't work.

Any suggestions for the background? I've tried l. aromatica and m. tuberculatum but the hygro overshadows them too much.

honestly if you can get reineckii mini that would make it pop especially if you make some splits on the blyxa and spead it to the front at the foreground plant in that corner would look awesome

Re: Plant for transitional area?

Do you mean split it to create new plants or just to spread it out further?

Thanks for the tip on the reineckii mini, which I hadn't heard of. Is it a mini rosaefolia or a different species?

I didn't see anything about it on APC or the Plant Finder here. Does it have any special requirements? This is a high tech, high light EI tank with 8 dGH 73F water.
