Thanks guys. Tank is 84" 22" wide x 26". Not sure what the volume is.
Yeah water quality can be a problem which I think it why I perhaps suffer from algae. I have ozone and two FX5s to keep it under control
I used to run canister filters for my big tank too. Until I switched over to sump or wet/dry system. It is much more efficient to run and maintain, and bio filter is twice as much or more. It is something to look into if you have the budget.
If you're getting algae, it might be worth to increase the flow in the tank. This will help a little bit.
Cool looking fish!!! You need some datnoid in there!!!
Oh WOW! Nice tank and fishies! I remember a pirhana tank at an aquarium that had a variety of tetras in there too... They weren't getting eaten! Probably because the toothies weren't hungry.
My adventures in keeping Indostomus crocodilus, the crocodile toothpick fish. AKA armored stickleback, paradox fish, and freshwater pipefish. Care is (to the best of my knowledge) exactly the same as Indostomus paradoxus.
