Okay guys few weeks ago I bought a new tank gonna try to make this one as classy as possible. Starting out with an ADA 60P plan to have it carpeted with HC and have large to medium seiryu stones.
ADA 60P
ADA Aquasoil
ADA Aquasoil Powder Type
ADA Aquarium Mat
Amish "Microwave Cabinet"
Current Satellite Plus Pro
Hydor 200W Inline Heater
Cobalt EXT Canister Filter
Cal Aqua 17mm Lily Pipes INFLOW
Cal Aqua Pearl Drop Checker
GLA GRO-1 CO2 Regulator
2.5LB Co2 Tank x2
GLA Atomic Inline co2 Diffuser
Cal Aqua 17mm Lily Pipes OUTFLOW
Manually remove as much as you can, try to do RO water if you can. Is your water hard?
Also, try to use Flourish Excel and crank the co2 as high as you can without gassing fish. Is your filter media clean? Try cleaning your filter as well.
Good luck, BBA is no joke and a tough villain to beat!
Looks like cyano, use some antibiotics mentioned above, then blackout the tank for 3 days. Crank up co2 as you dont have livestock. Remove as much manually as you can, keep the filter and water pristine.
Close, but not quite. Grab some Maracyn (not Maracyn 2) and dose your tank with it just like it recommends on the package. Its active ingredient is erythromycin, which is used to treat bacterial infections in fish - and since cyanobacteria is similar it'll get taken care of in the process. Maracyn 2's active ingredient is something else for a different kind of bacterial infection.
Your only going to get so much out of co2 with an Iwagumi. What is using extreme co2 going to do? It's not an algaecide like Excel.
