Post 35g Medium Tech Tank

I'm starting this journal a bit late as my tank is quite established so I figured I'd start it off by showing the progression of my tank over the last year.

Originally I started with a 20g long which got transplanted into my current 35g. At the time I had a snail, goldfish and two platies. I only had one live plant, an Argentine sword. 😂

The tank is almost 100% real plants now, I just left a few fake plants to fill in some spots. The pool filter sand is looking nice as well. Also added some ghost shrimp and Neon Tetras.

Someone I know was giving away a free 35 gallon aquarium + stand so I decided to upgrade... Took this opportunity to switch from the sand (it was always dirty & unsightly) to a nice CaribSea EcoComplete... Also added some new plants.

And my Anubias nana is flowering!

Picked up a new Marineland LED bar on sale. It suctions right to the bottom of the access lid on my aquarium hood. Not sure how well it would work as a standalone light but it's only to supplement my T8's. It does have a moonlight option but I never use it.
