10 Gallon Iwagumi Beginner

Hello, I am a beginner setting up a 10 Gallon Iwagumi tank which I consider high tech and thought I'd share how this tank evolves.

Right now, it's not completely set up. The water is in and I'm planning on planting very soon.

10 Gallon Tank
2x14w CFL lights (Planning on upgrading soon)
Aquatech 5-15
Unknown aquasoil

Update:

I installed my heater and the co2 system. I tested the Waterplant 3 in 1 diffuser and it is very misty!

Will update when I get the hc and plant it.

Any suggestions on how to improve the tank?

Great hardscape! Looks good, only thing that kind of bothers me personally is the slope of the substrate. Since it slopes in the direction the rock points, it naturally leads the eye right up and out of the tank! Well for me it does at least.

Also, an upgrade to the lighting would be great as well. Maybe 2-4 t5ho? Great start!

Hmmm, I wanted to focus point to be on the largest rock.

Planning on getting a good light fixture soon.

I'm going to my lfs to pick up some hc for planting tomorrow.

Anyways, I was just playing around with the Co2. Planning on going a little less though when I have the plants in. (1-2 bubbles per second)

You have a stone with some great character. I too like your slope but I feel the flow of your stones is interrupted by the gap. Have you tried merging the big stone and the smaller one on bottom right into one? If it's possible it might change the scape from a stone to a mountain.

Good luck!
