My 15g

Its my 1st tank which i kept a side for sometime.

Thought of make a planted tank coz im kinda miss where Im from. Currently I work in Bahrain but I'm from Sri Lankan down south where there are lot of natural streams & water falls.

Did some reading from the net & biggest concerns were lighting, substrate, algae.

Bahrain is not a very friendly place for planted tankers as there aren't much quality equipment available.

Started with lights thought of going with T5s as its cheaper & i could find the correct lights. I sat up a canopy with PVC pipes fixed 3 T5s. 6700k daylight, 10000k white, 25000 red.

I found ADA amazonia fro a local store & mixed it with some left overs i had used a piece of old drift wood from my previous tank. Plants of course.

CO2 - sugar & yeast reactor which made lot of trouble with couple of explosions. As i entered to my apartment after work the mild smell & ma wife's long face indicates that there was too much CO2 stuck in the tubes. But now its under control.

I think plants are growing & no sign of algae. There are some fish (cherry barbs, ramynose, tread fine rainbows) & few red cherry shrimps.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the almost jungle like look of it. And the pic with the cherry shrimp chilling on the leaf is precious. Great job!
