7.5 Gallon Cube Journal

It's been a couple years since I've had a tank of my own, so I figured I'd share my new project. So here's my 7.5 gal cube from Deep Blue. I thought I'd be distracted by the black silicone, but I kind of like it, and at $35, I couldn't resist!

Equipment:
Zoomed 501
12" Finnex FugeRay
Black Fluorite Sand
No heater yet (any suggestions?)

Flora:
Dwarf Sag
Hydrocotyle sp. (LFS just had it labelled has Hydrocotyle)
Crypt wendtii red
Staurogyne repens
Christmas moss
Java fern
Anubias nana petite

I wanted to try different plants that I haven't used before like dwarf sag and the staurogyne. Hopefully they'll fill in nicely.

As for stocking options, I'm still deciding, I'm thinking cpds, scarlet badis, or ember tetra with shrimp. Any ideas would be welcome.

Nice start,
I like how you included the ruler in the picture. But why is it all crooked and reversed? ><

Pretty sick man

That ruler though

I like the Cobalt Neotherm line of heaters

If you did a black background you would barely be able to notice the heater

I like your hardscape and setup, will be following along

I moved into a new apartment a couple weeks ago, which is sort of why I haven't updated, but I'm glad the plants weren't negatively affected.

This week I finally added fish:
6 celestial pearl danios
6 pygmy cories

Do you think I'd be able to add 4 more cories to make it an even 10? I want to see them school a bit more. I'm also thinking of adding some cherries or even some crystal red shrimp to pick up any extra food these guys miss.

I also have to figure out how to level out the shelves the tank is sitting on.
