I am a total beginner, with no previous experience in tank building what so ever.
So, the following adventure should be funny, full of mistakes, and with a steep learning curve..
It has all started with discounted orchids in a hardware store, to finding a frog forum, and now this one..
Long story short, I've found a 10 gallon tank in my basement, and after almost a month of lurking all over the internet for inspirations and design processes, I've decided to start the project.
All comments, and any help is very welcome, and please excuse me for my poor English, but it is not my native language.
I've attached few photos of the current progress. You can see the main idea of wood distribution, the middle hole is for third piece of wood, for which I hope it will stick out of the side, held by the silicone.. (do you think it will hold?) All three pieces will have a running water over them, that's why I've cut out the lines for the tubes.
Now I am waiting for silicone to cure.
Do you think silicone alone will hold that root on its own, or do you think I will have to use an expanding foam also?
