Ok, it's up and running. CO2 is going, both filters are running, moved what plants I wanted from the old tank and the driftwood. Bringing the water up to 72f, added the initial ferts, DYI root/iron tabs. Set up the light/CO2 timers. Now to clean it up and organize the wire mess under the stand.

I'll take more detailed photos tomorrow with my camera, not my phone.

When I saw "It begins" I immediately thought of the original Frankenstein movie...
It's alive...
Got any detailed photos of the stand build ?

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight line...in the opposite direction...

No real pics of the stand build, just the normal 2x4 buildup that many others have done. I'll be building a new stand for my 56 column the same way so I'll remember to take pics of that build.

Sorry for the cloudy pics, the tank is still settling in. Plants should be here this week.

Update:
Seems like my Rasboras are in the spawning mood. They have been hitting the undersides of the leaves and doing their "thing" allot today.

Mystery:
I came home last night to find my drop checker with no color at all. I thought i gassed the tank or something but find the drop checker (fluval) was empty. HUH???? Where did the check fluid go?!?!? Did a PH test and everything was fine. Refilled and will see if it does it again. Anyone else have this problem?

Sorry about not posting in the last month, got hurt at work and been dealing with that issue (I am now allergic to isocyanate compounds) but i am on track to finding a different job on base. Tank is doing great. The Echinodorus horizontalis is out of control, and is pushing out a flower right now, so once it clears the plant more I'll get some pics of it.

When I bought the sword it was doing ok, then was neglected in my old tank (you can see how small and low it was when I moved it to the new tank). Once I gave it allot of light, CO2 and good ferts, LOOK OUT! I gather that type of sword is not common in the hobby.

The plants are doing so well you cannot see the large driftwood pieces on the left at all.
