Eheim 2213 filter location

Hi all, I am a rookie in aqua planted tank,

I have a question of filter location, I design a case for set the tank

(ADA 60P 60*30*36),and raise it 12cm height.

Does the 2213 must be lower than tank?
Can I set the Eheim 2213 in back of the tank.

this is my case 3D, I wanna set all equipment back of the tank.
thank for your kindly reply.

It doesnt have to be lower but being a little below the tank makes it to where when you clean the filter the water will reprime the filter by gravitys flow

Also never empty the hoses where they disconect leave them full of water and open the intake first let the air fill to the top then open the outlet and the air will go out on its own then plug it in. Make it easier to prime and doesnt wear the impeller shaft from air pockets

Looks like it is going to pain get out from behind the tank. Try it with water in the bucket before you cut your hoses and connect.
