Here is a side view of my 7G stand-by nano tank, it is built up of spare equipment: Fluval 2 filter, Rena 100w heater, Tetra AP30 air pump.
I tried making it completely fish orientated as in i have left swimming space either side but densely planted the centre, behind the bogwood is a mini java fern forest taking shape, it supplies cover and shade for the fish.
I also put a bit of hornwort in to add colour and shade and fill in a few gaps in-between.
It contains 5 Serpae tetra, all permanent
3 baby bristle-nosed catish, one will stay
2 Black neon tetra, not permanent.
A few small snails.

Looking good bro...
Beware the shading from your Hornwort...if you use it as a wall in the background it will give the tank a whole new look. Some java moss would do well in the foreground and maybe a couple more of the ferns These nice nanos are killin me , I want to try one !

Its coming along nicely my friend !

Yeh i tried putting the horwort along the back but the stupid things uproot themselves, they will rather grow floating which spoils the look of the tank a bit but yeh i think i mite just try some java moss along the front and i might line the walls of the corners but leave it slightly open still.
