Set up looks great, fish not so.

rbarn obviously knows his stuff and is 100% correct about trying to keep discus from stunting in anything other than a bare bottom.

Water quality just cant be good enough in a planted tank for young discus.

Bare bottom them, feed them up and get them looking like these three of mine
(The red spotted green is about 7.5" fin to fin)

Stunted or not, it's still a fine looking tank. They seem very lively in the video as well.

Hey everyone ! I switched my discus to another tank, lowered Ph i think there was some aragonite in the sand ive used for the set up n ph kept bouncing between water changes so now i put some gouramis in there.
heres some pics. These fish they love it hehe

Currently.... my 90-20-40-265-300-200 and a fishroom full of empty tanks waiting to be used

Do the leaves grow to the top like a water lily?
Your gourami looks to be a Dwarf Gourami color morph, never seen one deep blue like that!

Here is a Blue Gourami...

I think once it gets big enough it does poke out of the water, but mainly an underwater plant!

Yes they are a dwarf variant, and it must be my leds making them look so nice!
