Jared's 5.5 Mini "Dutch"

Hey everybody! Welcome to another thread by me, in this one I will be showing you my 5.5 gallon tank

Let's start off with a crappy full tank shot shall we?


This tank is running off of the follow

Filter: ac20
Heater: marina 50w
Substrate: black fluorite and black diamond sand mix
Fertilizers: Half a lid of flourish excell a day
Lighting period:3-8 PM every day 12-7 every weekend
Light: 24 inch T5HO 2x24w bulbs, one pink one white


Fauna:

Female and male FTG



4 Dadio of some kind



Flora: Rotala Indica, Blyxa Japonica, frogbit, Stargrass, Wisteria, Pearlweed, Anubias nana and Crypt Wendtii

Nice tank! how long has it been set up for? also does dosing flourish excel improve plants a lot or is it more of a supplement?

The tank has been up for around 3 months, flourish excell is pretty much diluted liquid carbon, but it's been helping the plants grow so I'm happy about that, when I move I plan on upgrading to a 20 oz paintball tank cheers!

The paintball set up is so worth it! At first I cried because of the cost but in the end I don't regret buying it at all!

Hooray for more crappy iPad pictures!

Here's the 5g after a water change and trim



Got more danios for a total of 8


The pearlweed carpet is almost done!



Here's the blyxa I got last week, not growing as fast as I want but oh well


Idk if you can see him but a guplet lived through the mom eating all of them!!

If you look around the rotala you can see a baby guppy

started dosing flourish iron for the new plant



The lfs had it labeled has "Rotala Dragons Blood"



If you look near the water lettuce you can see a guppy fry!

This scape has just about run its course, gonna dumb it down a little and re do this tank as a no tech tank..

Lighting ideas are probably going to be a fugeray of some kind

Just trimmed this tank like crazy..

Took out the wisteria, replaced it with S repens from a friend



Thinking this might be Rotala Macarandra v narrow leaf?
