55ga - Planted Tank Update

Hi everyone; well tank has been running for about 7 weeks and planted for about 4 weeks. I've added (5) Cloud Tetras, (5) Garnet Tetras, (1)SAE, (2) Golden Pencilfish, (2) Dojo Loaches, (1) Fantail Pleco and (2) Clown Loaches (who I've not seen for (1) week )
Plants are:
Crypt Wendtii Brown
Red Templle
Anarharis

Dwarf Sagiltaria
Val Contortion
Sunset Hygro
Pygmy Chain Sword
Rotala Indica

Using a 160W CF, Mag 350 with a DIY Reactor on outlet, Pressurized CO2. So far so good. Although, my DC keeps getting yellow aftr about a week but the fish are doing great so I think it may have a leak!

Any suggestions are welcomed! This is my first try at a Planted tanks! Tom

Looks like a great start! The plants look healthy. Are you dosing ferts? Is that also some cabomba in the back and some HM in the front?

How often do you change the DC liquid? Sometimes tank water can get in during water changes. Hopefully it's not a leak.

Keep up the good work!

With all those plants, almost doesn't surprise me. Plants look like they are doing well, just need to move the taller ones to the back.

Thanks! Yes, I've been dosing, Trace, Iron, Comp and Phosphate; about a 40% water change everyweek. YEs, I forgot the Cabomba in the back. It's been trying really hard to over come the Anarharis.

I know, some of the plants have just got out of control; do you think I should move some of the Vals and Rotala Indica back? Thanks for the suggestion!

I do. Both of those get rather tall and look best as background plants.

I change it every other water change; I've even pulled it and it stays yellow. I might contact the seller and see if he has any suggestions!

Just added 35 cherries from bandaiban; they look great and have adapted so far. This tank has been my obsession for a while now; now I have a new adventure I'm going to start. My daughter loves nemo so I ordered a 12 gallon Nano Cube for her room. Should be interesting. Going to try and have it ready for fish by Christimas and sneak it into her room the 24th of dec!
