ADA Cube Garden Mini L "Twin Tree"

Hey folks,

just wanted to show you the current setup of my tank. It was originally set up in late September 2013. So far it has progressed nicely, even though I have been experiencing a few minor issues with algae lately. My fertilizers were off a little and magnesium was low. I fixed that and so... enjoy.

If you have questions or comments, advice etc., let me know!

All the best,

I also love the white background. Curious where you got it/what you used?

Good morning everybody,

thanks for the positive feedback, that motivates.

I will take some time today and upload some pics of the tanks progress throughout the last months. It did not always look that pretty...

@NYCaqua: yes, those are simple guppies that I put in the tank, it was more or less a lack of better choice... if anybody knows some beautiful small fish suitable for that size tank --> let me know. Otherwise I will put some nice Red Bee shrimp in it. By the way, where do I get some high grade crystal red/red bee shrimp???

@gnod: The rocks came out of a drainage ditch behind our house, seem to be inert and some cheap but useful material. I will ask a friend this afternoon, what kind it is. The plants on the hill to the left are Rotala rotundifolia sp. Ceylon". AquaForestAquarium in San Francisco offers those if you ask via email. They are quite expensive, 5$ for a few stems... I throw away about 50 stems every 14 days.

@everybody about the white background: that is simple window film from HomeDepot, something like this:

I paid $20 for a big piece and still have most of it. The application is easy on any fish tank without a frame. Look for the kind without flowers or other stuff on it...

Lots of folks in Germany put an LED Backlight behind it, which they dim so you have a nice sunrise/sundown. Looks great and doesn't cost much... better than any wallpaper behind the tank, haha.

All the best,
