Here's a quick snapshot. I am in the process of cutting a piece of acrylic to cover the aquarium in order to mount the Mini Aqualight, therefore, you can see the light is not mounted properly now. I will get another picture tomorrow once I have the cover finished.

Third Day after setup. I do 60% water change everyday. Feel free to comment on the layout.

Slime growing from the Aquasoil? I can't imagine what it is. Are you sure its from the Aquasoil? Not from HC? Well either way it wouldn't make sense.

It is a brown slime or a green slime. Or is it white/clear slime. Brown would be diatoms, green would be BGA, and white/clear would be fungus.

Here's an update, after a 50% water change. The water is crystal clear. I tested NH3 and NO2, it looks like they are in the safe levels, do you think I should start adding livestocks?

Here's an update. I added about ten CRS and RCS. The plants are growing fast. Aquasoil is definitely the best substrate!

I took the photo at that angle because I was getting a reflection if I shoot it straight.

^ Reduce your backlighting, and that won't be a problem.

Backlighting? I turned off all the lights in that room already. Sorry, I don't really understand.

Oh... then I guess I just didn't see how it would be possible for a reflection to show on the glass unless there were light coming from somewhere outside the tank. Nevermind then. Carry on!
