I made some major changes to my original 10g so I figured it is now time to start a new thread!

Specs:
10g basic tank
Finnex Planted + 20"
ZooMed 501 Turtle Clean
Petco heater set to hold 76 degrees

Plants:
Wisteria, corkscrew val, crypt beckettii (when it decides to come back from its melt) hygrophila polysperma, needle leaf java fern, anubias, frogbit, duckweed, dwarf water lettuce

Fauna: 2 platies, one zebra nerite (will work up to 6 platies)

added 1/4 tsp of baking soda (sodium bicarb. 100%) to raise kH to 2-3 pH to 7.2

(1.5 hours later: fish are much more active, eating fungus off of the driftwood and swimming)

photo update!

Platies are doing well. I'm very happy with them. I plan on adding two more on Monday, working up to a total of six eventually.

Added a new platy and a horned nerite today! I wasn't planning on adding till Monday but I couldn't pass up this peppermint platy.

Here is an okay picture of the red wagtail. These guys are hard to catch. The blue mickey mouse hates the camera.
