Yet another tank to share with you all, a riparium in a derimmed 10gal.
This one has been up and running for about a year now, with few changes. I'm using those brilliant riparium planters from Riparium Supply, with peace lillies, mangroves, and aluminum plants for the bulk of the greenery. The scape was moved from another tank, but the inhabitants are all the same.
8 x Normanii Lampeye killifish. I've seen spawning behavior, but never any fry. I assume the parents just gobbled them up. I feed these guys a mix of flake and decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. You can see the iridescent spots from across the room, cannot recommend them enough!
Been a very busy quarter at school, so pardon the sparse updates, but boy do I have updates!
A few weeks ago, while I was floating some plants in this tank, it seems that the lampeyes got busy overnight and laid a few eggs in the plants! Those eggs have hatched into 6 or so fry in a separate tank.
This shot was taken back in February, now the fry are starting to develop those characteristic "lamps" on their eyes. Super stoked!
