Removed Hygrophila sp bold - didn't like it and it was propagating too much
Planted Red Pantanal - love the plant
Did a big trimming yesterday - hair grass is nice, but a pain to trim and remove from the tank
Had to trim the heads of Syngonanthus sp Belem and replanted. Looks nicer now.
Ludwigia glandulosa seems to come back - lots of small new leaves
Ludwigia repens Rubin grew back from a small stem that was left. I didn't even realize it's still in the tank until it showed up behind the wood.
Planted a bunch of xmas moss using superglue. Not sure how well that worked.
Added 10 Ember Tetras (Hyphessobrycon amandae), 4 bristle nose plecos (Ancistrus sp), 4 oto (Otocinclus affinis), and 4 yo-yo loaches (Botia almorhae).
The Yoyos definitely surprised me, when I added them to the tank. They just lay down, some of them upside down, some on their side. All the other fish behaved normally. I then read that this seems to be normal stress behavior and I can report that this morning, 15 hours after the were added, they are swimming around as a group and seem to be very active.
Here's a video I did yesterday - you can watch it fullscreen, it's in HD:
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death life is only a dream which is an imagination of ourselves. Bill Hicks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ua hua's 90 gal. high tech ua hua's 5,000 gal. water garden
Everything seems to be happy and growing. Getting a few spots of algae after I adjusted the CO2 in the beginning for the fish, but I'm getting this dialed in again.
Added a 2nd filter. After the last filter cleaning (monthly) the Eheim 3e didn't want to start again. I had an Eheim 2213 on hand which I quickly setup using 30% of the bio media of the 3e - figured that would at least be some bacteria. Then with eheim's help I was able to get the 3e starting again within 2 hours, so nothing lost, but I have two filters on the tank now.
