Gotta get me some more clamp lights.
My hubby mods them to hold on better to the tank rim.
Just can't beat it for the price. I've heard some people complain about the CFL lights, but I get great growth from them.
This is not betta appropriate in my opinion. I prefer to house them with low flow high bio filtration and heat. This tank has neither a filter or a heater. Thanks for the suggestion though! I have a beautiful petco boy in a five gallon and he is very happy
I use only cfls on my tanks right now, but I'm upgrading my two 10g to the finnex planted plus for Christmas! The cfl on this one should be more than enough. So far pleased with the light.
Stock wise I'm thinking either a few ramshorns from my other tanks or maybe a nerite or two? I enjoy snail's and I have many pond/mts. I'm thinking no fish.
I wanna hone my plant skills to I think, without fish worry.

first water change, cloudiness is getting better. added Marsilea minuta foreground and Myriophyllum mattigrossense background. put a root tab under the marsilea and the crokscrew vals. hoping for the best
If you're interested, you can get a hood for that tank from Petsmart (mailorder) for around $14. While it says it's incandescent, a compact fluorescent fits in nicely. I waited until Petsmart had free shipping no minimum order to get mine.
I think cherry shrimp would do nicely there.
thanks for the idea! I'm pretty happy with what I'm running now, even if it doesn't look pretty! I have a screen cover just to prevent my cat from taking a swim!
I'm working on another tank for cherries. I really want some different color ramshorns for this one.
