So I recently set up a 60P, and with my Ram all my shrimp suddenly got devoured. I've been trying to do this for awhile, but I just hadn't got the chance. This probably won't get started until around Christmas though because I'm having brain surgery in a couple weeks, so I won't have to the chance to start it in time.
My plan is to successfully breed Taiwan Bee's. I'm going to start with some SS-SS+ CRS and make sure I can breed those first, since this is the first time attempting shrimp other than a neos and super low grade crystals.
Tank: Standard 20 Long (I may de-rim the top so it looks cleaner.
Light: Either a single T8 shoplight, or two 13 watt CFLs mounted in clip on shop lights. Open to ideas on this one!
Substrate- Either Aquasoil or FSS. I've heard good and bad things about FSS. I would like to use it if possible since I can get it local
Filtration- AC30 (x1), double spongefilter (x2)
That makes a total of 4 sponges. Sufficient, I would think?
I'll be using RO water and remineralizing with fluval mineral supplement. I have a few options for scaping. I probably use both pieces of driftwood.
Anubias Nana Petite
Hydro sp. Japan
Some other clippings.
Maybe excel. Probably not, though. Occasional K and Micros
Right across the room from this!
