I'm making a nice little medium planted tank for a betta. Hoping to go with all easy plants, nothing too difficult, just enough to satisfy some little guy out there.
1x Dwarf Lilly
1x Blyxa aubertii "Water Bamboo"
1x Mat of Flame Moss
4x Mysterious Wild Plant (resembles Bacopa)
3x Ghost Shrimps
1x Halfmoon Betta, Zuko
I've got a Top Fin 10 gallon filter working in the tank, which I'll probably need to change since it might be too strong for the betta. A Tetra pre-set heater for warming the tank, CarribSea Tahitian Moon Sand as a substrate. API Root Tabs and API Leaf Zone are keeping the plants alive right now. No clue what I want to do with the Flame moss-any suggestions?
Almost got another gorgeous white betta to keep the Halfmoon, Zuko, company, but didn't have a divider set up. I may take some plexiglass and set that up soon, though-that was one gorgeous betta. Worried about space, though. What do you guys think?
I might get some otos to help clean, but I want to see how he reacts to the ghost shrimp first. He seemed pretty feisty in the store, but I hope that doesn't translate to being aggressive.
There's currently no top or light, which I'll have to buy. The "top" I have right now is just two pieces of plexiglass meant to stop Zuko from jumping out.
I also have a little problem with Zuko. It looks like somebody cut part of his tail off. It doesn't look infected, but will it ever grow back?
