2 month update on 610 gallon dirt tank

Hello Dirt and NPT People,
here is my 2 month update on the 610 gallon dirt tank beast. I think I'm getting balanced, because all my water parameters look great, and I'm getting pearling and no algae blooms, the gas release from the substrate is getting lighter and smaller. I figure in about 2 to 3 weeks I may put fish in or maybe Cherry Red Shrimp first. I am still fertilizing, but I'm thinking about substrate fertilizing only and CO2 injection after its balances. My Spatterdock 'Cape Fear' is growing bigger and faster than I thought it would; my Tiger Lotus, Red & Green are sending out lilly-pads like mad, at least 10 have been cut back from the surface; Ludwigia - Cuba was cut and replanted once; dwarf sag. & Blyxa Japonica is filling in nicely and Staurogyne repens is also filling in slowly. My two Crinum natans are growing slowly but steadily. Everything is growing pretty large and I am doing weekly tank maintenance to keep them in check. I will keep you posted. Thanks everyone, the hardest part after balancing is trimming it back to keep it from turning into jungle book.
Thanks 8 Ft long x 4 Ft tall x 3 Ft wide 4900 lbs!

Do you have to get inside of the tank to trim it? Or go bat style and hang?

No, I lean in off of an 8 ft ladder or climb on top and I have tools none less than 24 inches.

I was thinking the same thing. That tank appears to be fairly small to be 610g. Seems more like a 120g. 60x18 or 60x24 at the most. I was expecting a min. 96 or 120 inch long monster tank.

You have some nice healthy plant growth going on though.

I have earlier threads which would give you the dimensions next to my 8 ft ladder, but I'll give you them again 96 inches long X 48 inches tall X 36 inches wide, 4900 lbs filled. 3- 6 ton rated support columns at the building support beam are under this beast!

I only get in and walk around in it to put the dirt and plants in it, if I step in it now it would mess up the aquascape, so I have 48 inch tongs, 36 inch grass sheers to cut and 24 inch tweezers that I use when I do 60% water changes and add plants, that is when I lean in or get on top.

Read my other threads before you make an assumption please, plus that is a 7 ft entryway to the right and left of it in the picture!
