I love it Perch! It's so rarely that one gets to see a tank big enough to house Spadderdock and all those other species that usually outgrow a "normal" large tank. I'm going to enjoy seeing those species growing out to their full size. The variety of plants looks very natural as well. I get a good sense of snorkeling in a weedy part of a lake or pond.

I've never regretted over engineering a system, but often regretted under engineering one.

Thanks Phil, that's the look I'm looking for and working to achieve!

What's up with this thread and the other one? Are the separate or did you mean to do this? Which one should I follow for tank progress?

This is the newest thread continuing from the others, but I get questions on all 3 threads. I do separate threads on this tank because of so much time between updates.

The spatterdock(cape fear) & Ludwigia - Cuba

It's been a week and my Spatterdock 'cape fear' have reached 4 ft and my Ludwigia - Cuba have reached 3 ft. and everything is growing like crazy. I've cut back Giant Green Temple 2 ft. and red & green Tiger lotus 2 ft. several times in a week.

8ft x 4ft x 3 ft = 718gal

(96"x48"x36" / 231 = 718)
