mini aquarium for mini brain vacations.

I've had this tank going at work for a little over a year. Started with an all moss carpet tank and ended up redoing it a couple months ago with co2 and a better light.
However I'm going to be either rescaping this tank or replacing it soon. I think theres just too much organics built up in the substrate? I'm not getting the growth I'm expecting. :/

It's pretty! Is it possible the nutrients have depleted in the substrate? Are you dosing it with any ferts?

I'm dosing ei. the aquasoil itself must be a few years old. I might have to find a better diffuser. Mine is probably just too inefficient for the amount of light I have. the drop checker turns yellow, no fish are gasping, but I don't want to turn it up anymore because its just too ugly with all the bubbles flying around.

Well, it still looks amazing. I love the little patches of fissidens on the driftwood, they're a nice accent.

Thanks, The fissidens actually popped up out of nowhere. I guess I had it when I had this piece of driftwood in my old 20 gallon. After I added co2 to this little tank it just appeared. In a nice spot too.
