Can I suggest a pH controller for your pressurized co2 system? They can be pricey but will take out most of the guesswork. I have ab Aquatic life on my 46G bowfront. Might also be a good safeguard if you are using a single stage regulator as well.
I would love to but it's unlikely to happen for at least another few months.
Not much of an update but here's where I'm at. Co2 is under control again. One of my lights has been flickering so I'm sending that back, it's under warranty.
During a water change I accidentally washed out some sand where the HC is and uprooted some, it got lost somewhere in the other plants so I'm considering it gone. I was at an event at a LFS this past weekend and they had some on sale, that's the pot that's in there now. Haven't gotten around to planting it yet. There is also a new resident to the tank. An African Butterflyfish. So far him and the pearl gourami are getting along and from what I've read they should be ok. Some say the gourami may attempt to nip at the Butterflyfish's fins but mine is fairly peaceful. If there are any problems though there are room in other tanks for the Gourami.
