Well just got my first fluval tank I like it so far . Just got set up tonight with a few rocks from my old setup . Substrate is just black gravel , will be adding a piece of driftwood when it gets here . Plan on some moss on the driftwood also a java fern on it to, maybe some riccia on stone well see once the driftwood is in the tank . Here are a few pics rocks might stay might not , not sure yet
Here are the stones I found . Do you guys think they look to big for the tank
not sure if they will stay bt most likely will, its only had water in it for 3 days so its still cloudy
and doesnt help I keep moving stuff in it

So far the riccia is growing ok it is going up ,but I was wanting to know what would be the best ferts to use for the to grow good and green right know I am dosing execl once a week adn some generic plant food from petco .Will putting root tabs in the substrate help even know the riccia is on the stones ? any help would be great since I am new to planted tanks
I wouldn't recommend riccia as a carpet plant, it gets really messy and can be a PITA to clean up once you trim it. But if you plan on keeping it, no fertilization is necessary, just use excel as you do now.
