Always wanted dwarf puffers, and now my tank is almost done with the dry start. Figured I'd start a journal
MGOCPM with red clay mixed in capped by black blasting coal slag
Lighting - 2 8 1/2" dome lights with cfl bulbs right now 23 watts for the dry start going lower once I flood it
Eheim 2215 filter
Eheim jager 100 watt heater
Dwarf puffers of course!
Kuhli loaches for a clean up crew
I am going to try some nerite snails, I have heard dwarf puffers can't eat them.
German Blue Rams, anyone house these with DP? Would like to try a pair in there but unless ya'll say it's okay I'll pass.
Culled red cherry shrimp I don't care if they're eaten they're culls
Pygmy chain swords
Florida sunset crypts
Random crypts, probably wendtii not sure lol
Crypt "short red" is what the guy called some
Will be putting some corkscrew vals, and Nymphaea daubenyana (red lillies) in after I flood the tank
Some moss I've found outside...Not sure if it's aquatic but imma find out.
Hygrophila corymbosa Kompakt...Wasn't doing well in my 55, so tossed it in here, does great dry starting, hope to keep it alive after flooding but not hopeful.
Here are a few pics of the dry start.
