Thanks, though kingjombeejoe deserves the credit for the plants. They've been in my tank for a week, I don't think I'm responsible for them looking good quite yet. Maybe if they still look good in a month...

There are some stems that were bent during transport that are dying and need to be removed and a few leaves that need to be removed as well. I'll spend a little bit of time before I head home to take care of that and then the tank will be on it's own for the weekend.

I have noticed some new growth on the Nymphoides sp. ''Taiwan'', so at least I know something's happy.

Yep. This is the 30/60. I've got the 20/40 in my 20gal and it's hard to say which I like more. This stuff was a P.I.T.A to rinse (I still have silt in my driveway from rinsing,) but is a nice almost beach sand fine grain.

I've seen plants go from ashy to classy or the exact opposite in as little as a day or two, so you deserve some credit. I think the fact we are in the same part of the country, using the same substrate and lighting may have also helped them adapt quicker. Sorry to hear about the damaged plants, I'm still new to shipping. Any info on what I could do differently next time to prevent damage would be a big help.

The damage was not actually from shipping, it was from the move from my kitchen to my office.. Your shipping was great!

Awesome tank! Office tanks for the win. A good amount of people stop by to take a look at my tank. It is very distracting since it's one short glance to my left, and relaxing to look at. I straight up just top off/change with tap water and my fish and RCS's are fine with that. Having two 1-gallon jugs around is very useful!

Swapped out the light for something that clamps on. I noticed I was getting some algae on the driftwood, and I wanted to be able to remove the glass and the old light needed to sit on the glass.

ETA: Noticed that 2 of the RCS females are berried.

Yep, a clamp lamp with a 14w CFL.

Thanks! I'm considering making more of these, they're such a great size!

Make some more and give some to co-workers

Then you will have more people to chat about tanks with :P

Did you end up doing CO2 for your office tank? or just low tech for now?

I'm dosing excel for now. I have a 500 ml bottle that came with a used tank I bought. I'm not sure what I'll do long term, maybe I'll just stick to dosing.

Looks good. I have some hydrocotyle sp japan i can send you if you want to replace that brazilian pennywort with something smaller and grows more like a carpet. The one you have seems to be growing and it can take over a tank that size pretty quick. This is what mine looks like

This is a picture with the 2 growing next to each other to give you a size comparison.
