Extras...that's how I got my first C. pygmaeus! I think he came in as an egg on a plant and then grew up in my tank.

I got a black hairnet from cvs.

I have this incredibly round rock that I took out of Lake Michigan.

I put the hairnet over the rock, twisted the hairnet on the bottom,

put the riccia down on the first layer of the hairnet then wrapped the hairnet over it twice,

cut access hairned that was dangling on the bottom of the rock, twisted it a little and let the rock hold it down.

It's worked magnificently. I'm thinking about cutting out some plastic, or using a piece of slate and doing the same thing to make a lawn.

Thanks for the feedback too.

12.21.03.

The Pennywort's is one of my favorite plants for some reason. I just love the way that it grows. I'm trying to get it to blanket sections of my tank. I did some trimming and propagating. I moved some riccia onto a nice piece of slate. Trying to get it to "lawn a little." I don't think it's in the picture. Also, took out the mayaca fluviatilis. Just didn't like it. Still working on the middle section.

I agree with George.
A. reineckii would look great where that Val is!

I like that idea. I think I'm gonna order some of that.

Thanks for the tip. The val is shooting out a lot of runners. It's going to be too much plant for my tank I think anyway. Back to the 38g it will go.

Thanks for the advice George.

Happy Holidays all.

BTW,

This is what my tank looked like a month ago. Just thought comparing it's kind of funny.

Thanks Buck.

I'm looking forward to getting the A. Reinickii for the middle.

Getting that next wednesday.

My Sunset hygorphilia is unstoppable. I'm gonna have to start putting it in my scrub tank just cause I'm running out of space.

The leaves at the top are a nice red.

Anyway.

Cool beans.

Happy New Year

FG

Where did you get the really cool rocks that are in your tank? Around here I mostly run across shells if I'm anywhere near the water. I haven't seen any rocks in our LFS's.

Nice looking tank you have!
