very nice!! i too just built a tank, and i must say very wise of you to allow it two cure for 2 full weeks, i think thats the number one mistake ive seen over the years when people fail at building or even just re sealing a tank.. cant wait to see more!

That looks so nice!!

I adore the betta, he is a beauty

You could go with a bigger tetra, maybe congo's, very peaceful, only downside, they are timid, I have 7 atm and have to add more as they are still very shy

Ember tetras, are another amazing looking fish when happy, small too, if you want two schools of smaller fish.

There are so many cool fish to choose from I am hopeless at recommending, it's really down to personal choice

thanks every one and yes i am looking to stay with 2 small kinds of tetras and doing bigger schools, and i will need them to be brighter colors due to all the black, i was also thinking about the rummy nose tetras because of how they school these neons i have now like dont know how to school at all!!! haha

also if anyone has any input on some different plants to put in here please let me know i dont know to much about plants but i will be running a dual bulb T5HO fixture on this tank, i have 2 of them but not sure if i want to use both as day lights and get a 3 night night or just do one day and one night (kinda waiting to see what it looks like with just one on it with my canopy done)

also maybe some Co2 being added some time soon, i dont know crap about Co2 never used it before any help on the Co2 side would be amazing maybe links to some for sale or just general diss. about it really quick

thanks again, wade

That's awesome that you DIY'd basically everything short of the electronic stuff. Layout looks really nice as well.

I used to do the same as I always end up with a tank in the bedroom. Easy alarm clock. Now I am a musician for a living (or the best I can make as a living), I have it on so it forces me to not sleep too late HAHA
