I'd say you have made a good start but you need to shape the substrate so it isn't all flat it would give it more depth

Those rocks are too small, substrate too flat.

Totally agree with this.. Wave up the substrate, pile up the rocks, make it like nature would, toss it around freelance... :P
Like imagine this is inside a lake... factors like the water current/wind, fish moving it around, giving it high peaks of substrate, the rocks that have evolved with the current brushing over them, then plant it like nature would. Go with ur wild instinct, then u cant go wrong
