My adventures in keeping Indostomus crocodilus, the crocodile toothpick fish. AKA armored stickleback, paradox fish, and freshwater pipefish. Care is (to the best of my knowledge) exactly the same as Indostomus paradoxus.
I don't know what I'm going to stock right now. I had a list, but recent water reports from the city show a KH of 2.5 and a GH of 28ppm. (Link to report).
Most of the fish I was looking at need a 7 or so KH... I've been trying to figure out how to raise the KH without effecting my pH. I think I need to do it with crushed coral. Would love your input, but will probably double post the question in the fish section.
Calcium and Magnesium (GH) might be a bit too low for a few fish but I wouldn't worry about Alkalinity at all with most. I would be doing joyous back flips if I had your source water.
