Ok Ok i know ive been slacking it, but its hard to get everything at one time with only a part time job and going to school full time....but anyways i finally got the filter going and water in the tank. I put eco-complete in and pool filter sand as the substrate. I used the pool filter sand as the "river" going through the tank. So now im just waiting on the lights and im still looking for the perfect driftwood(any ideas where there is a good source????), all the plants im goin to put in the tank are growing out in my smaller tanks untill i get the lights, which will be soon, i promise I got a couple of pieces of "slate rock" that was at my lfs so ill be making caves for the fish.

The fish list is as follows:
Sterbi Cories
apistogramma trio or pair
GBR trio or pair
albino bristlenose plecos
school of hatchet fish
The only thing i dont have is the mid level fish any ideas????

Im going with a South American Biotope if you havent noticed with the fish

Once a again sorry for the lack of posts, college has been killing me lately... thanks,

Brandon

I think you should check out the ice cap 660 for lighting. Its much cheaper I think compare to the ah supplys lights. And it could service you two different ways. One for a planted aquarium or when you change to a saltwater tank.

Looks great. I have the 110gallon version of that tank, same length and depth but mine is 24 inches tall.
Here is a great place to get driftwood. He ships fast and everything comes as shown.

Looks great thus far. I'll be expecting a whole lot more.

-Derrick Li-

I really envy my fishes and plants, they seem to be getting so much more attention than me. Shouldn't i start pampering myself a little more?

For mid level fish I'd have to say that angelfish would be a good way to go. I'd try and get all of one gender so they don't pair off and become aggressive. Another good way to go would be some midsize tetras. I don't know if all tetras are south american but I'm sure the info is out there.
