Hey, It's your tank so you have the ultimate say on the scape. The only thing that may bother you after you fill it up is the internal filter. I will be an eye sore unless you put in a dark background. I would suggest a zoomed 501 for a cleaner looking iwagumi.

Good luck and take your time with it.

I assume you liked the other layout better haha no worries. It still subject to change as this is not final. But it looks good, no? Haha

And about the filter... I saw the zoomed 501 AFTER I had purchased the fluval nanotechnology internal and that zoomed looks amazing and pleasing to the eye like you said. Practically, nothing in the tank.

I'm so tempted to do an exchange. Do you know with what kind of water output it comes with? Because the reason I like the fluval nanotechnology is for the water spray

would you consider relocating that cord danging behind the tank? its very distracting

otherwise, its looking pretty sharp !

Now that I see it, I'm thinking maybe your previous hardscape is the better choice...unless you're wanting a really simple look haha like I said earlier, its up to you and what you think looks best!

And if you really liked your old setup, you should definitely go with that!

The reason I redid the scape was to follow the more traditional style that I found on the greenmachineonline. Wanted to see for myself how it would look. I do like the old setup but I also like how much the new setup stands out in terms of the main rocks.

What I could do is have both styles!! I may add back the rocks that was in the sand and the shore line so it doesn't look like a perfect division between gravel and sand.

Well do the changes tonight ) thanks for your opinion

this tank is as much yours as it is mine then! yea, i can't wait either.

I'm planning to carpet the whole gravel area with HEMIANTHUS CALLITRICHOIDES 'CUBAS', and in some areas closer to the rocks i will use GLOSSOSTIGMA ELATINOIDES. Background I'm still deciding to whether or not put some ELEOCHARIS ACICULARIS to maybe cover the filter.

any plants savvies out there? I read/heard that HC can be very tricky to grow and expand. Tips and tricks anyone? My tank specs are as follows:

Tank: 20 x 12 1/2 x 10
Filter: Fluval Nano Internal Filter
CO2: Fluval CO2 20g kit with glass bubbles diffuser instead of stock diffuser.
Light: Aqueon 19" single fluorescent tube @ 15W-120V, 8000k
Gravel/Substrate: Eco-Complete (for planting area) and Caribsea Torpedo Beach Sand

And this is about 4 days after, April 22. I'm starting to worry. the water has become "cloudy" all of a sudden. I haven't changed anyting nor done enything to the tank. It just all of a sudden became cloudy.

Also, I feel like the HC are not doing as well as i hope they would do. I have been doing co2 during the day and turn of during the night. I keep the lights on for 8-9 hrs/day. my light is a 15W 8000k aquaeon and last but not least, i have my heater set at 76F (as it is still chilly here in NYC). nothing has changed either but this is how they are looking as today.
