120 gallon Reef to Freshwater Journal

It has been awhile since I torn down my 100 gallon planted tank and upgrade my 50 gallon into a bigger 120 reef tank. Now, it is time to go back to planted tank because of simplicity and the low maintenance factors! I am planning to take things slowly! Since I have been gone for awhile would like to get some input on my new setup!

Here is a picture of my 100 that I took down:

Here is the picture of the 120 gallon reef tank that will transform into a planted tank!

Here is the spec of the tank:

Tank: 48"x30"x20"
Filter: Sump about 80 gallons--I am plan to use it as a filtration system and a shrimp tank.
Heater: 500 watts Titanium with controller.
Light: 3 AI (Aqua Illumination) LED
Water movement: 2 MP40wES or 2 Tunze 6055 with controller--debating about this.
Substrate: ADA soil--I had great success growing plants with this.
Fish: Discus, Altums, sterbais, and roseline sharks
Shrimp: Crystal, cherry, and other!
Plants: Fissiden fontanus, Anubias nana, Anubias nana petite, Starogyne, Bolbitis heudelitii, Mircosorium pteropus and neddle leaf, Limnopilia sp cuba - Hemianthus Micranthemoides, Eleocharis acicularis, Glosso, and some crypts! I might become newbie again and this tank become a collectorist of stem plants! LOL.

I am planning to take it slows and maybe dry starts! Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Do you think I can do without Co2?

If you are in the Bay Area (CA) and would like to trade freshwater stuff for reef stuff let me know!
