Everything looks/sounds great!

I assume your window blinds will stay up most of the time? Are you concerned with algae with all that natural light?

i'm definitely going to have to monitor that. The tank gets direct sun around 3pm til dusk. might have to play with the blinds in the afternoon. well just have to see how it goes and adjust.

PH: 6.0
Ammonia: off the charts
Nitrate - off the charts
Nitrate - off the charts

not sure what changed since thursday/friday but i plan on doing a 50% water change after work to start....
also i should probably clarify, the tank was flooded on wednesday of last week. The ET wasn't doing so hot in the dry start method probably since it came from a submerged tank. Either way, i flooded it and cranked the CO2 up.

still a work in progress. doing 50% water changes daily.

here is what the tank currently looks like. The ET is struggling in some parts. Red Tiger Lotus is doing much better and has already shot off some new leaves.

Sorry for the long time between posts. Been super busy at work and having trouble getting the tank in order during it. Here is how the tank looks a little over one month into my first planted tank.

Here is a full tank shot. The light has been raised due to a BBA problem i had for the first couple of weeks. I put the light down only to take these pictures, normally it is 15 inches from the top of the water. Now only have a slight bit of green algae on the glass.

Here is how the right side is looking. The ET almost 95% died. In the last week though, it has been flourishing and i just trimmed and replanted some tops along the front of the tank.

The red tiger lotus has been doing amazing. I have 4 cories in the tank that love to spend the day under these massive leaves. Also 4 mystery snails that love eating the algae off the leaves. I will try again to take some pictures of the cories, they hide anytime i come close to the tank
