57 rimless start

so i picked up my DBP 57 rimless the other day and im finishing off the stand, but its going a bit slow as i built the stand myself and im not good with woodworkibg at all. i havent added the front panel because i need a door cut into it.

i have ordered 2 eheim 2217 and a bunch of different sands and gravels to test and see what looks best, im planning tahitian moon mound around the base of driftwood and a lighter area resembling river sand with gravel and stone mixed.

i have one kessil a150w amazon sun on the way, but didnt get a gooseneck, because im going to see with different heights and coverage. im planning on only java fern and anubias for plants attached to driftwood so hopefully one will be enough. the apistos i plan to keep will certainly appreciate less light.

still need to get a pair of inline heaters and order some manzanita (group buy anyone?) hoping to have test filled in a few days but may be a month before i get scaped and planted, but im trying to do this one right

Funny, I have a 57 rimless that was made with low iron on the sides (didn't order it that way) - anyway, noticeable difference in clarity from side viewing vs. front viewing. Low iron does make a difference
