How do you get moss to grow on your rocks. Dumb question I know but I am a total noob
If you look back at post 10 the last picture shows the mesh I use to tie the moss to the rocks. Its basically just the bag that comes with an aquaclear filter for the biomax wrapped around a rock that I spread moss over
I finally got my 40B ready and I"m tearing down this tank and putting it in the 40B. I have one last shot of the tank with some of the water drained out
If you think that looks like a lot of plants wait until you see them in the new tank. I am working on the new thread now and I will post a link for it once its up. Link for 40B 40B Planted Project Tank [pic heavy]
As for the second 10 gal There has been no growth most of the plants have melted and bba has taken over the tank. I have since added some floaters to the tank to help cut down the light and upped my water changes and it seems to be getting better. I may add some co2 due to the lighting being higher than I expected.
I will probably still use this thread to update the second tank and if I decide to do something with the empty 10gal.

this is my INSPIRATION for my current. 10g that I can't seem to grow anything in! and, like you, I have a 40B thanks to petco's $1 per gallon sale waiting to be full of lush, thriving plants!
I'm glad I can be an inspiration to someone. Just don't forget that I made huge mistakes that I had to learn from, so don't get discouraged if you hit some bumps. Try as many different plants as you can get your hands on and keep the ones that grow for you. The most important thing is to have fun with it. If you have any questions just ask
