Week 3- hit a problem with what i believe to be phosphates, currently doing a water change everyday and have other things running to try to solve the problem. plants seem to be growing fine. Amazon swords still seem a little thin, not deep green, and wrinkly but i read they should liven up once their roots really settle in
Hey man! Nice tank! I like the size on that one. Interesting dimension. I think that you will find that all of your amazon swords are going to get "thin". This is because they are grown emersed- out of the water- in the plant farms, and you are growing them submersed in the water. They have two types of leaves for two different settings. All the leaves which are currently alive will slowly die and be replace by a new submersed type of leaf. The submersed ones are much prettier in my opinion, more fan-like and slender and less rounded. This is a natural process however and time will allow them to adapt fine. Just make sure to trim off the leaves as they turn brown and in a few days/weeks your swords will be doing fine!
Great setup by the way. I like the large movement on the right shifting to lower movement on the left. I think adding a few short plants in the front as a foreground would look nice.
