I did bluegill in a 29 in the past but as they grow they quickly require more space... More than typical aquarium fish. They remind me of cichlids. Good luck!

eggs are growing and developing now at 1.5 months after fertilization.

"eye spots" developing in 100% of live eggs. Some eggs have both eye spots already in full development.

Still only 1 mortality........out of 250 eggs!!!!

I just did a quick WC............4.5 gallons out of 20 gal tank. I had a student prep the bucket and set it outside for the temp to drop down to 43...........not a problem up here right now. I forgot to ask him if he primed the water to rid it of chlorine. I quick ran back and poured it in and am now home and wondering if I just killed all my eggs!

Do you think 30% WC with unprimed water just did me in (assumming he forgot to treat the water). The water sat for a few hours outside although I doubt that would enough time for outgassing of the CO2..........AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hey this is such a cool idea. I love the idea of using it as a teaching tool, AND supporting the ecosystem there! Good for you. I love Alaska, I went up with some family for good fun and halibut fishing a long time ago. I need to go back!

I need to get back out there! Summer is perfect for getting away from FL heat lol. We came home with about 250lbs of vacuum sealed halibut that year. We had fish for over a year! I haven't been salmon fishing that will be on my list.

This is so cool!
Salmon are my favorite fish to eat. Lol

I've always wanted to go to Alaska, my husband would probably be down if I went fishing with him. But I am too impatient for fishing. Lol

Ever had salmon sushi? You would feel like you are eating an entirely different fish! That is my favorite way to have salmon now
