The e. tenellus is really growing great, runners everywhere. IMG_5114 by Ecopot, on Flickr
Now I know why the Vallisneria Spiralis was labeled Leopard. The original leaves from the LFS were just green, but all the new leaves that has grown has that nice brownish red pattern in them. IMG_5120 by Ecopot, on Flickr
BBA is almost gone, either the SAEs took care of it or my tank is finally balancing out. I'm also glad that the Vallisneria Spiralis grows really fast too, my turtle loves the stuff. I might remove the hygro so I can grow more it.
Your tank has really grown in well!!! I really like the selection of plants too! I am about ready to get my 40B on its stand, and it is about time since it has been sitting on the kitchen floor for over a year by now! I am going to be trying to run it low tech, so I will be watching yours for inspiration!
P.S. what kind of filter are you running on this tank?
I'm running a Kotobuki SV9000 canister filter. Its a Japanese canister filter rated for about a 65g tank size. The intake is hiding behind the Vals on the left and the spray bar is an inch or so below the water line in the back.
