My 20 long/first planted

ok 20 long tank
black diamond substrate
added ghost shrimp for the cycle a week ago they are getting pulled out this week. i have 1 marimo moss ball and plants on the way.

doesnt sound like much of a cycle, unless you fed the crap out of them and used some live media. shrimp dont have much of a bioload.

also, whats going in it next? ghosties are kinda cool, unless they'll be preying on neos or caridinas.

Once i pull them out. I will add yellow's and the ghost will be going to a buddy of mine.
i have plants and moss from 3 other tanks coming now. I added stability to start the bacteria and dosed for 7 days. With stability you are not supposed to have a cycle.

I will be adding some of my dead coral in to promote the calcium level for the shrimp.

is your water particularly soft? you dont need it rift lake hard with salts..

ouch.. then why not choose a soft water shrimp? i think crystal reds are kinda narsty looking, but orange bees and some of the tigers are pretty cool.

it has plants,moss,shrimp etc...

i use pvc gloves everytime i put my hand in tank.. is this needed? or just a good practice?
