Thanks! I was thinking of doing a hanging planter for some riparian plants but having some plants growing up the branches emersed would be cool too. Any suggestions on plants for that?
Meh, you already look the expert when it comes to emmersed growth . Your mosses and anubias will eventually creep up, albeit slowly. But then you have the hassle of keeping everything moist around the clock. Im gonna borrow your idea and start collecting take out boxes for my emmersed farming though, if you don't mind.
The hanging planters sound sick , hope you stick with that.
My only suggestion- make an enclosure especially for start-up and your dry season.
Again, kudos for breaking the mould! I've never seen anything like what you've planned.
Found some rocks. Well I think its really more like extremely compressed dirt since it breaks cleanly if I hit it against anything. But I put some in a jug of water and they didn't break apart or crumble in a week so I'm hoping they won't break apart in the tank either. Completely inert. So good for me since this tank is going RO!
Once I get my RO unit I'll put in the erios, nljf, and anubias and flood. Still looking for some bog plants to hang out the top where the wood sticks out. I'm hoping that'll turn out ok.
I've been misting it 2x a day. Noticed some fungus growing on the wood but its not affecting the plants. I'm sure it'll disappear once the great flood happens.
