Update and a question:

Everything is growing nicely but I need to give it some shape. Should I take all the tall plants from the right and put them on the left?

Yeah, now it looks to flat... the problem with the regular fish store aquariums is that they are 12" wide. Too flat to get any good background going. I'm scared that if I pack the plants too much the leaves in the middle bottom will not get any light and die.

Update and a lot of fun Pictures that I took this week:

A big cut this week. It feels like I have to cut the plants every week. So I hope that with a big trim I wont need to do anything next week.

The hair grass it covering everything well. I have two types. One that is really really short-no longer then 2"-3". The other is a bit to the back that can grow up to 6".

All good there. I was scared that the Ludwigia sp. 'RED' would change its color to green/brow/yellow. I give it some Iron.

Looks so pretty.

Hard to take pictures of them. They never stay still.

I wish I had that in my aquarium!

And just to show you how lovely spiders can be.

Wow, looks so peaceful and natural! Great job!!! It would be nice if the Ludwigia sp. 'RED' grew more towards the center. This tank is looking so good.

I like spiders too. I might warn you, dogs of any size do have a very high bioload, so be careful when adding them to your aquarium. Great tank. My only suggestion: get some dwarf cichlids!

Its getting there naturally.. But the big rock is there and so there wont be much room for it to fill up nicely in the back. I would have to move the rock.

I seen some cute Ram Cichlids at the store and I was wondering if I could just get two and if they will be happy. But I want no fry... two girls?

For my b-day I got a new Micro leans!

I took a few pictures of my aquarium with it and would like to post some of them up... Hope you like them!

First up are two pictures of BJ that focus on different parts of the plant.

Next is Rotala Rotundifolia just looking cool under the waves.

Finally Myrio - Green looking out

A cute little snail trying to poke out of the water.

I did a trim and pulled out some old Myrio and Red Ludwigia.

I also did my very first filter clean up about a week ago and ooh boy did I make a mess. I did read on it a lot before I changes the media and thank you to all that answered my questions in another post. But all is well!
I did have some problem with the lily pipes.. all the brushes where too stiff and would not bend the curves of the pipes or too short and would not reach the end.

Now I'm having a problem with some algae and I can use any help I can get.

Thanks for looking!
