now heres the plan:

tank: 4 foot x18 x20 inch display
lighting: led lighting unit(probably diy)
filtration: pair fluval 106 or pair of 206's

susbstrate: mts with laterite and some shell grit and some sand mixed together with a layer of fine gravel to cap it off(currently use a similar substrate in my 2 footer)

300wat hydor heater

c02 gear: have a pressurised set up( have a regulator i bought of ebay with solonoid and buble counter the rest il update as i go

plants: il copy and paste the list of the exact stuff thats going in but some native vals and some mud matt are 2 choices on the list

and finally fish: i have a tandanus catfish and a sleepy cod in another tank( catfish probably wont go in this set up tho coz he will make a mess for sure)

planning on getting some archers and a few purple spotted gudgeons( if i can find larger ones) and havent picked a king of the tank sorta fish yet ( maybe a murray cod or a barra or something like that but i wouldnt mind some garfish at some stage

aren't the archer's a brackish fish? The gudgeons I beleive will be ok in a slight brackish water. You need to watch your plant choices in this case.
