57 gallon Sulawesi Tank

Well i just bought oceanic illuminata tank and i am planning to to make a sulawesi tank.

Tank:
57 Gallon Oceanic Illuminata + stand

Substrate:
Pool filtersand mixed with crush coral or onyx sand dont know yet.

Equipment:
Eheim Pro 3e 2078
JBJ auto top off with maxi jet 1100
Hydor inline heater
ReefKeeper Lite Aquarium controller + SL1

Lights:
2x marineland double bright
Aquatic life LED 36 inch (Blue)

Hard Scape:
15-20 pounds of seiryu stone
Lots of Cholla wood bamboo forest (going to make them stand straight up about 3-15 inches tall)

Plants:
UG - to go in between the seiryu stones
HM - help the cholla wood look more greenish
some kind of moss dont know yet (for the cholla wood)

Target water para:

7.8-8.1 ph
Temp: 78-81F
TDS 300

Anyone have any suggestion or experience with Onyx sand. Or should i just stick with crush coral.

What kind of moss should i use for my Cholla wood. I dont want anything so thick that it will cover the the whole wood (christmas moss). I'm plannign to just put moss on top of the cholla, so it can create a cave like setting on bottom once it grows out. I guess something a bit more stringy but looks way better then java moss.

I'll add more pics when i get home.

I'll post some phone pics for now when i first go the tank.

For some reason, the inside of the cabinet looks complicated. Cant wait to see the result.

Yea I need to go buy some onyx sand, black flourite, and small lava rock. Going to use the lava rock as a foundation for the seiryu mountain I'm going to put in that empty spot.

I'm getting a ph controller for CO2. It looks complicated cause its just temp wiring right now. notice the black power strip is empty =).

So while you guys wait for me to buy the substrate. Here are bonus picture of my 120 gallon. Enjoy

The 120 looks good, that Arowana is looking very healthy. Looks like a very nice start on the 57 and the cabinet should look very organized when you get all the equipment in place.

I think you should keep the driftwood. That's a really nice piece.

Bored. I just ordered 20 tropica 049 for the sand area. And some Ug for the right side where the seiryu stone is. Also got some rose moss I will be adding at the cliff area between the onyx and pool filter sand.

Tomorrow I will be picking up 15 pound of lava rock to build a structure so when i make the mountain with onyx sand and seiryu stone. It won't settle and flatten out.
