I picked up an 84 gallon (72w x 15d x18h) with stand and a Rena XP3 on the cheap. Has more scratches than gallons, but after a cleaning and my ugly reseal job I filled it and there is nothing I can't live with. I just love the dimensions on this tank, its basically the same ratio as the 12gallon longs but doubled. Here it is in a temporary spot for the fill test and some manzanita soaking. Excuse the cell pic, my camera just died:
Planning on starting it out on the cheap, and getting pressurized CO2 and a couple decent 36" fixtures later this year.
Filtration: XP3 and eheim 2217
Lighting: T12s and CFLs I've got laying around
Substrate: pool filter sand
Dosing: Osmocote Plus root tabs, excel and flourish
-various low light friendly for now
currently have in other tanks:
-1 blue gourami
-pair of cockatoo apistos
-siamese algae eaters
-black ruby barbs
More (hopefully better) pics of the setup to come in the following weeks.
