So, I found out that they're not actually wild caught... Didn't think they were.
On a good note, he's been holding for 16 days! So I'm separating the female today and then it is just a game of waiting...
Final number is 33. Two died, they were weaker ones. The rest are about 2cm now and look really good! They're all readily eating ground pellets with daily siphoning and water changes. Really happy with progress
The parents bred earlier but the male didn't hold. I think the water was too alkaline. I hope for another spawn soon!
Been a really long time since I posted on here. Thought I may as well put some pics up for you all to see. Unfortunately binbin9, I live in Australia so can only sell to Australians. Currently I have 5 breeding macrostoma, 4 females which all are from different bloodlines and a male which is sibling to one of the 4 females. I would like a couple more males so hopefully I can get a few from the offspring.
Here are the pics!
The tank they first spawned in years ago, blurry pic of the little bubs, dad and then the juvies once they git colour and were sold.
Lastly, a sub-adult pair I got sparring (unfortunately I no longer have the male).
